pick any books on the website to complete the following: 

 In a 2-3 pages address the following: 

1.  Choose 2 non-fiction children’s picture books (books that are nonfiction are about real things, people, events, and places).  Browse through the books and find two books you have not seen before that you would use with young children in a preschool classroom. List the author and title of each book and write 1-2 paragraphs for each book describing what it is about that book that makes you believe it would be a good choice for young children and how you might utilize it in your classroom.

3.  Browse for 2 parenting/ “tender topic” children’s picture books- for example:  Separation anxiety, divorce, moving, death, self esteem, family diversity, etc.  Browse through the books and find two books you have not seen before that you would use with young children or might make available for parents in a preschool classroom. List the author and title of each book and write 1-2 paragraphs for each book describing what it is about that book that makes you believe it would be a good choice for young children and/or their families and how you might utilize it in your classroom.
